2025 Sidewalk Audit
With the completion of our street tree audit we will now begin on the 2025 Sidewalk Audit. If you have broken blocks, trip hazards or heavily deteriorated sidewalk blocks in front of your home, please send us a photo and your address. If you are reporting a trip hazard please also include the following:
Indicate if the hazard is less than two inches or more than two inches. Photographing the trip hazard with a ruler or measuring tape works great! This determines if the trip hazard can be shaved or will need total replacement.
Please also indicate if there are any trees directly adjacent to the trip hazard. In some cases, trees have to be removed in order to replace sidewalks. Knowing this in advance is important.
This information will be used to advocate for sidewalk repairs directly to the City of Fort Wayne. However, if you’d prefer to repair your sidewalk now you can apply for the 50/50 Cost Share Program with the City of Fort Wayne. Additionally, you can submit your 50% to the association and we will cover half of your costs. In the end, you will only pay for 25% of the total cost. Both programs are run on a first come first served basis.
